The official english title doesn't exist yet ("Lutas" means "Fights").
I worked with inbetweens and clean up on some scenes of this movie.

A 2 years Short Film Animation production by Me and my friend Cassia!
And finally it was selected for exibitions!!!!
This animation was made for a college conclusion project, with the main theme trilled to create a entertained way to show the consequences of our individual excessive consumption in our world.

This short animation film was made for a college conclusion project, with the main theme trilled to create a entertained way to show the consequences of our individual excessive consumption in our world.

Synopsis:
"The Earth was on its own.
And then Man came along to add to it.
Consumption of the Man. Man on the Earth.
Wasting Earth."

Soundtrack:
Lyrics: Cassia Mary Itamoto and Celina Kurihara
Musical Arrangement: Alberto Yuji Watabe

The soundtrack of the short animation "A Terra a Gastar" ("Wasting Earth") is a parody of a Brazilian folksong "A velha a fiar", from the first Brazilian videoclip (1964), which has the same name, composed by Aldo Taranto, interpreted by "Trio Irakitã", directed by Humberto Mauro.

Celina Kurihara

São Paulo, Brasil (1983)

Since I was born, I dream to work with animation. I thought that this was really just a dream, but nowdays I see that it's possible.

I studied Graphic Design at Panamerican of Arts School (2006) and worked at Estúdio 196 Design and Communication (2005). And actually, I'm studing 2D Animation at Academia de Animação e Artes Digitais (2007) that let me work at Lightstar Animation Studios (2008). I graduated in Architecture and Urbanism at São Paulo University (2008), and as the conclusion project, I made my first short animation film "A Terra a Gastar" ("Wasting Earth"), with my friend Cassia, that was finally finished in 2009.

Now I'm plannig to improve myself, my animation skills and my drawings, hopping work with concept someday.
